Imogene + Willie to Stop Selling Assault-Style Rifles

Imogene + Willie to Stop Selling Assault-Style Rifles

Imogene + Willie

12 South – Following the lead of national retailers like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Nashville denim artistes Imogene + Willie have decided to stop selling assault-style rifles and high-capacity magazines in their 12 South Nashville location.

Below is the statement sent out in today’s press release.

“Here at Imogene + Willie, we know there is no feeling in the world like firing off a high capacity magazine full of .223 rounds through the muzzle of an AR-15, while having your hips and thighs hugged tightly by a custom pair of raw denim jeans. We were proud to be able to offer our customers a one-stop shop for this deeply gratifying experience for so long. However, we are also proud to change with the times. Beginning today, Imogene + Willie will no longer carry AR-15 and other “assault-style” rifles in our Nashville showroom. We also will no longer sell high capacity magazines for these weapons. However, you can continue to shop our large selection of shotguns, handguns, throwing stars, nunchucks and tactical denim products, along with our fine selection of civilian-grade denim. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to continuing to serve the Nashville community.”

Will you continue to shop at Imogene + Willie, or will you take your denim dollars elsewhere? Let us know in the comments.
